COVID-19 Precautions

Last Updated May 30, 2020

General Precautions We Are Taking Due to COVID-19

  1. To be on the safe side, we would like you to take the following precautions:

    • We ask you not to come to the workshop if you are sick, have a temperature, or if one of your household members is in quarantine for COVID-19.

    • You will be able to transfer to another course free of charge or to get a full refund if a transfer is not possible

    • We strongly encourage all participants to apply safe practices. In particular, we emphasize the importance of washing your hands frequently and thoroughly, using hand disinfectants, avoiding handshakes and keeping a distance from other people.

  2. Hand sanitizer will be available in the classroom and in other common areas.

  3. We will increase the distance between participants. Smaller class size, bigger rooms and/or fewer people per table will be leveraged.

  4. New sharpies and post-its will be handed out in class and we will ask people to take them home with them.Note:  In some courses we may substitute the use of white boards and post-its with laptops and an online collaboration tool.

  5. New student work books will be handed out, and should be taken home each day.

  6. We will schedule mini-breaks after each group exercise for people to wash their hands or use sanitizing gel

  7. Boxed lunches will be ordered from vendors such as Panera to avoid handling of food and serving utensils by other students.

  8. The venue has also increased the frequency of cleaning of all rooms and equipment.

  9. Bottled water will be provided, and we ask that students mark their initials on the bottles with a sharpie.
  10. We will minimize the use of equipment and props.

  11. We will provide personal stationery where possible (eg. post-its, sharpies, notebooks, etc).
